![]() Some of the not so important concepts I leaned in this class that I think I will use the least would be stocks. Honestly, as right now I am not thinking of investing in stocks but it is always good to know a little about everything. However, it is still important but personally I don't think I would ever use it. We learned how the stock market works, and what are some indicator that the stock market is either going to go down or up. |
Finance 1050: Personal Finance Reflection Taking this class has helped me understand the value of money and how good can money be but also how much trounble it can cause you. I also learned a lot of the principle of managing your own money, such as having a budget to help you not over exceed your expenses and buy more than you can afford. I also learned the important terms to know when filing your taxes, what does each thing mean, and how to fill the W-2, W-4 and i-9 forms out. Another important thing i learned was the different types of insurance and what is each insurance for and what does it cover. I think some of the most practical things I learned in this class and that I will use for the rest of my life is the concept of credit. Nowadays it is essential to know how credit works and to know how to manage your credit. A lot of people that are uneducated about that subject fail to manage their credit and end up being in debt. I learned that credit can be such a good thing but it can also be a really bad thing depending on how you use it. Since it is so easy to use credit because you don't have to give any money but just swipe your card, a lot of people over use it and before they know they owe thousand on dollar that they can't even pay. |
